Project challenges: The recovery rate of the first-stage RO system was only 60%. The membrane elements had short service life, and the desalination rate dropped sharply to 90% after around 2 years of operation.
Our technical team conducted on-site inspection and water analysis, and confirmed that excessive iron ions from pipeline rust caused rising differential pressure.

We redesigned the cleaning procedure and chemical formula by increasing acid cleaning frequency and reducing alkaline cleaning frequency.
After optimization, the differential pressure returned to normal. The service life of membrane elements was extended from 2 years to 3 years, which greatly reduced equipment replacement and maintenance costs.
