Solutions to Improve Water Resistance of Finished Paper

We provide two technical routes including internal sizing and surface sizing to meet diverse production demands.

Internal sizing: Moisblock® ASA / AKD neutral sizing agents matched with Emulamet® special emulsifiers;

Surface sizing: Ruize series surface sizing agents.

All solutions are customized according to paper grade, raw materials and working conditions.

Case: A large northern mill producing gypsum facing paper required high sizing performance. Moisblock® sizing agent combined with Emulamet® emulsifier was adopted. The mixture was emulsified on-site and added to the wet end, which greatly improved the hot water penetration resistance of paper. With the same sizing effect, the consumption of ASA per ton of paper was reduced by 15%, bringing obvious cost benefits.
