The mining industry is under increasing pressure to manage water resources responsibly. Large volumes of water are used in extraction, processing, and cooling, and the resulting wastewater contains high concentrations of suspended solids, dissolved metals, and organic matter. Without effective treatment, this can lead to serious environmental contamination and regulatory penalties. To address these challenges, mining water coagulants are essential in the solid-liquid separation process. Coagulation involves adding a chemical that neutralizes the negative charges on particles, allowing them to aggregate and settle out. In the context of mining, this is critical for treating acid mine drainage (AMD) and process water. At Feymer Technology, we have developed a mining water coagulant that stands out due to its high charge density and molecular weight. This ensures rapid flocculation even at low dosages, reducing chemical costs and minimizing sludge production.
