Water & Steel Integrated: Shagang Group Visits Feymer to Explore New Green Development Opportunities

On June 8, Shen Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shagang Group, led a management team and many industrial entrepreneurs to visit Feymer Technology. They conducted in-depth discussions on water treatment, cost reduction and green transformation for the steel industry.

The guests firstly visited Feymer’s intelligent exhibition hall, and learned about our R&D achievements and industrial applications of water-soluble polymers, functional monomers and membrane separation technologies over the past decade. They fully recognized our positioning of empowering industrial green upgrading with water technology, as well as the brand philosophy Making Every Waterprint Count.

During the seminar, Qian Xin, Chairman of Feymer Technology, stated that steel is the cornerstone of industry and water is the lifeline of production. With years of experience in providing water-based industrial solutions, Feymer is willing to complement Shagang’s advantages, optimize the environmental cost per ton of steel and jointly achieve carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.

The project director of Shagang Group reviewed the ongoing cooperation projects, including EPC and maintenance service for demineralized water station, water treatment operation for wire rod workshop and membrane element supply. A total of 14 new cooperation projects were planned, covering water treatment for wide plate and cold rolling workshops.

Shen Bin spoke highly of Feymer’s technological strength and service quality. He mentioned that the steel industry is facing urgent demands for energy conservation, carbon reduction and environmental improvement. Feymer’s water treatment chemicals and membrane technologies can effectively improve water utilization efficiency and reduce pollutant emissions, which is highly consistent with Shagang’s development strategy. Great potential lies in our further cooperation.

Leaders from Yaxin Iron & Steel, Wuyang Group, Guangda Special Materials and other leading enterprises also attended the event, making it an important platform for the whole steel industrial chain to exchange ideas and seek transformation.
